FEATURE EXPLORATION
When a user is settled, they should be able to save their spot from their hammock.
Flow Break
Once a user has selected their hammock spot, they put away their phone in order to hang their hammock, and will bring it back out once the hammock is up and they are settled in it.
Access to scanning the canopy should take into consideration this extended break between tasks and help guide the user toward scanning the tree canopy above them when they re-open the hammock app.
Functionality
When the user tilts their phone up at the tree tops above their hammock, the system scan canopy edges and begins recording.
Having the scan start automatically creates a challenge, but holding the phone at this angle does not allow for tapping a "start" button.
The app records a 3 second video of the canopy. it captures movement and light, but no audio.
While the app records the loop, it is scanning the canopy to estimate size and density. This data feeds into oxygen and carbon dioxide estimates.
When the recording is finished, it saves at half-speed and visually integrates the oxygen and carbon dioxide data into the video.
The result is a six second loop of slow-rustling tree tops, with real-time environmental benefits animated and integrated into the video.
Canopy loops become part of the trip log and are saved in the app. The user can share their canopy loop from the trip detail page, and also right after it is created and saved.
